Welcome to the Outdoor Training Academy, a venture by Ballyhass Adventure Group, where outdoor experiences come to life! With a legacy of over 15 years, we've been orchestrating exceptional outdoor adventures that leave lasting memories. What began as a marine leisure facility in Kinsale has now evolved into an expansive offering of more than 20 diverse outdoor activities across two breathtaking locations in Mallow and Coachford, Co. Cork. Our driving force is simple – to ignite a passion for outdoor pursuits and inspire a lifestyle of active exploration.
We are on a mission to inspire people to get everyone active outdoors! We are aiming to do this through Accesibility (Multiple Locations), Affordability (Adventure Pass and Inclusive events) & Education (showing you where to take your next adventure and providing you with the skills to do so.)
At the heart of our operation lies the dedication to excellence. Our commitment to training is unwavering, as evidenced by the growth of our team over the years. With a staff of over 100 individuals across our two sites, many began their journey with us as trainees. Through internal and external training opportunities, they've evolved into skilled outdoor enthusiasts and instructors. These dynamic individuals not only uphold our legacy but contribute to its continuous expansion.
At Outdoor Training Academy, our commitment to excellence extends beyond the adventures we provide. Our team is a tapestry of expertise and training, ensuring your safety and enriching your experience. All our staff members are equipped with essential first aid skills, holding certifications in CFR and some FAR qualifications. Moreover, many of our instructors boast specialized expertise, from Kayaking Instructor Certifications and ERCA Ropes Certifications to SUP Water Rescue and Safety Certifications and Lifeguard Certifications.
Inspired by our excellent in-house training, we have created our latest innovation, the Adventure Centre Instructor Training Course.
